What does this program do?

A: Your computer is tracking all your activities. Anyone who can touch your computer can know the website you have visited, the web pages, images and videos you have ever seen. They will also know which files you have just opened in Office and many other applications.

All these tracks are stored in your hard disk. Just emptying the Recycle Bin and deleting the Internet cache in web browser will not protect you at all. Even your hard disk is formatted, others can know your past activities using some tools even several years later.

AbsoluteShield Internet Eraser Pro protects your privacy by cleaning up all the tracks of your Internet and computer activities. Unlike some other privacy protection tools which only delete the files and thus can be easily recovered by some data recovery tool, our Internet Eraser completely remove those files from your hard disk without the possibility to recover it by any practical software or hardware methods.

What is the system requirement of your product and what browsers does it support?

A: Our product works on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000 and XP. It support Internet Explorer 4.0 (or above), MSN 6.0 or above, Netscape 6.0 (or above), AOL 7.0 (or above) and Opera 6.0 (or above).

I am using Netscape browser, does your product erase the tracks left by Netscape?

A: Sure, our product supports Internet Explorer, MSN, Netscape, AOL and Opera browsers. To select the browser program you use, please go to the "Browser" page of our product, and click the "Browsers..." button in the right-top of the window. You may select the browsers in the dialog displayed. For MSN, please treat it as IE and select the options for IE.

How do I uninstall this program?

A: You may uninstall this program in two ways:
a) Click Start -- Programs -- SysShield Tools -- AbsoluteShield Internet Eraser - Uninstall  AbsoluteShield Internet Eraser.
b) Click Start -- Settings -- Control Panel -- Add/Remove Programs, select this product in the uninstallation list and click Uninstall button.

What is stealth mode?

A: Stealth mode lets this tool run in the background, and ensures others doesn't know you are running this privacy protection tool. In stealth mode, you will not see the programs and no system tray icon will be added. Please note in stealth mode, the tool are still able to erase the tracks in the background based on your schedule settings.

I click the program icon in the desktop, but nothing happens, I cannot see the program window.

A: Perhaps the program is running in stealth mode. Press CTRL+ALT+C to see whether it brings back the program window. If it doesn't help, email us for further assistance.

How long will it take to get my registration code after I place the order?

A: We will email you the registration code within 24 hours.

I placed an order two days ago, however, I haven't received the registration code to activate the product.

A: We will email the registration code to our customer within 24 hours after you place the order. If you haven't received it, then the email might be lost. Please email us at: sales@internet-track-eraser.com and we will email it to you again If you are running email filtering program (such as some anti-spam email program), please check your junk mail folder to see whether the registration email is put there by the email filter incorrectly. This doesn't happen often but it happens sometimes. .

After the purchase, will I get a CD for the product or it is only available through download?

A: Currently the product is only available via download. The download file size is very small, it is only about 1.1MB and you can download it in 3 minutes with a 56K modem. Another advantage of downloading is you can always get the latest version of our product from our website.

I am a registered user and my registration code is lost, how can I get it again?

A: Please email us at: sales@internet-track-eraser.com with your order ID (or the name, email you used to place the order, or the receipt email, or anything which can be used to identify your order). We will re-send the registration code to you in 24 hours.

I have both a desktop computer and a laptop, do I need purchase two license for your product?

A: If both of the computers are only used by you, you only need buy one license.

A: Sure, we provide life-time free upgrade to the registered users. Please just download the new version and install it, you don't need input the registration code again.
